Today, I returned to work after a long Thanksgiving weekend.  It was a fabulous Thanksgiving with the  kids home and a lovely dinner at our cousins’ house.  We gobbled  (turkey and the trimmings) until we wobbled and then ate pie.  We had pumpkin, apple, and blueberry  pies with both whip cream and ice cream. We relished sleeping in, hiking the hills and seaside, traveling to Mystic Seaport for the Candlelight Tour and play “Nutcracker Suite”, dining at Captain Daniel Packard’s Inn and a  rousing game of cards. My friend, Faith, a mural artist, provided private painting instructions inspired by a picture of an Australian landscape. We baked together, ate together, and played together.  We created special memories.  The lyrics from La Vie En Rose say it best, “Everyday words seem to turn into love songs.”  “May I borrow your sweater?”  “What would you like on your pizza?”  “Order what you want kids, it’s my treat!” “I love your painting!”
